With proper design, planning, and implementation, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, along with the associated Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, can utilize low-maintenance Best Management Practices (BMPs), minimizing compliance issues, saving time and resources, getting your project from start to acceptance in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Our SWPPP services are designed to ensure compliance with the City of San Antonio ordinance regarding stormwater compliance for construction activities. Enforcement of the City’s ordinance is delegated to the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) who operates the municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) program with the City. A copy of the City’s ordinance can be found at SAWS.org or municode.com.
The City of San Antonio requires that all Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) be prepared by a Professional Engineer or a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC). All of our plans are prepared by experienced CPESC professionals. For more information about our plans, please see our SWPPP development section.
The City of San Antonio defines a Qualified Inspector as those who have obtained one of four certifications:
Currently, our staff includes inspection professionals certified in either CESSWI or CPESC. With years of experience in the construction industry, these professionals will collaborate with your team to develop a smart, cost-effective path to compliance. For more information about our inspection services, please visit our inspections section.
Our services include submitting your SWPPP and TCEQ Notice of Intent (NOI) or Small Construction Site Notice (CSN) to the San Antonio Water System. Once the project is complete before filing your Notice of Termination (NOT) or notice of CSN removal in San Antonio, a final inspection is required to verify that the site is stabilized and meets all the termination requirements. All closeout documents and processing are included as part of our plans and inspection services.
